best magnesium malate?

Postby gibbo82 » Sun May 12, 2013 9:41 am

I'm looking to start taking this supplement as I hear it benefits people who have fibro & pvc's, (I have both)

Only problem is I don't know which one's to get? I've looked on amazon.

Is more magnesium better?

One one on them? And could recommend which ones?

Thanks

Lee

Hi Lee. . I take 300mgs of magnesium a day I just buy supermarkets own brand. . I am a very poor drinker and tend to get dehydrated and the medication I take kills off my natural magnesium. . The body can't store magnesium that's why we have to find it in our diet. . I feel a lot better since taking it and can tell when I haven't taken it for a while. . Don't pay too much for it as the more expensive brands are no better than the cheaper ones. . Give it a go and best wishes xx

I bought Source Naturals Magnesium Malate from Amazon based on the Amazon reviews.

I have been taking it for about 2 months now and find it helps me. The only downside is the tablets are large to swallow. I dont mind this though...

I have found that supermarkets / shops often don't sell the Malate and you will find its Oxide.

Hope this helps :-)

Hi gibbo

Good luck with your supplements. I too had read what you had so I'm on the Osteocare brand. I'm on the one that contains magnesium/calcium/vitamin D. I've been on them for over 2 months now and though there has been no noticeable change in my pain levels, my fatigue has slightly decreased and I haven't had restless legs since starting them.

I have IBS too and have found these haven't upset my tummy, but the ones I take need to be taken with a main meal so maybe that helps?

Question, with having to take 3 capsules a day, I was wondering how often should I take them? Every 6 hours??

Hi gibbo

If there is nothing in the instructions I would probably space the tablets out so 1 with breakfast, 1 with lunch and 1 with dinner.

Good Luck
