white bumps on tongue

Postby Wackers34 » Wed Aug 07, 2013 5:38 pm

last few days I have come out in white bumps at the back of my tongue...its really hurting and burning...and my throat also. I thought I was suffering from sore throats all the time, but I actually think its ulcers or some sort of reaction to meds...
I currently take amitriptyline 50mg - has anyone had this happen with amitriptyline?
Im going to go back to docs - as i might need a change of meds again.

I wanted to ask about notriptyline, as doc said we could try this next time because of less side effects - does anyone get on well with this?

turns out doctor thinks it could be candida (oral thrush)...she has put me on anti fungal mouth drops to help clear it...she gave me no advice about an anti candida diet though...has anyone else had Candida and what did they do?

Thanks metabalance -

I am going to a clinic soon in London who are specialists in FM/CFS and M.E...They are going to do the nutritional approach with me as well as the pyschological. I will prob get a lot of advice from them...Im currently on Anti Fungal medicine, but my diet is high in sugar and yeast - im trying to cut back significantly here...already given up aspartame 6 months ago...

If however this doesnt work out - i will remember this invite and probably take you up on your offer

Many thanks :-D

Hiya, I went to a kinesilogist who said I had candidia & said most people with fibro do. She advices I cut out sugar, chocolate, caffeine, cheese, yeast, all sauces, nuts. I stuck to this for 3 months & when I went back the candidia had gone - not sure it was worth it tho lol. Good luck x
