I'M GOING 2 CONTACT MY MP IF I GET TURNED DOWN FOR DLA AGAIN

Postby nae2109 » Mon Nov 21, 2005 1:48 pm

HI ALL

I HAVE BEEN TURNED DOWN TWICE ALREADY FOR DLA AND THIS TIME - NOW I HAVE HAD A FIRM DIAGNOSIS - I AM GOING TO USE THE CITIZENS ADVICE BUREAU TO HELP ME WITH MY APPLICATION. I WAS ADVISED TO DO THIS BY MY SOCIAL WORKER WHO CAME TO DO AN ASSESSMENT ON ME AT HOME.

WITH THIS ASSESMENT I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GET A BATH LIFT, WALKING STICK, LIFELINE NECKLACE IN CASE I GET STUCK ON THE STAIRS WHEN I AM ON MY OWN, A SUPPORT FOR RAISING MY SOFA AND HOPEFULLY SOON A STAIRLIFT - ALL FOR FREE.

SO EVEN IF WITH THE HELP FROM THE CAB, I GET TURNED DOWN AGAIN I AM DEF GOING TO CONTACT ME LOCAL MP AND GET HIM ON THE CASE OF FIBRO!!!!

I know exactly how you feel about being turned down nae - I was given it one week and taken off me the next - some sort of mix up...... The CAB were great for me -- they helped me fill in the forms and even came and picked me up for the tribunals - consequently they did all the talking and handled it very well. I then got excepted finally and it has made my life a little easier....... dont let it go - we all deserve this benefit....

take care of yourself

gentle hugs

Hi Nicky,

I have also read some of guests posts and they are bizarre to say the least!!

I suspect this person is a troll (somebody who goes onto a forum and posts purely with the intention of causing trouble!! )

They get a kick out of putting bizarre/controversial posts then sit back and watch the mayhem...I have come across people like this on other forums...trolls even have their own forums where they gloat about the trouble they have caused on other forums...must have very sad lives if that is how they get their kicks...lol..Troll...just another name for Nerd if you ask me..lol..

Best bet is to ignore their posts and they will soon go away when they don't get their kicks from this forum :D

Hi Nae2109
Just finished reading your posts HOW did you get on with your third try for DLA. Please let us all know.
When my son try's again it will be his third time as well. By the way is it true one can only try three times for DLA ?
Wishing you all the best for 2007
Sue J
P.S. What is this Guest problem all about ? ( I'm new )
Why do they want to go onto this forum ?
Are they sick in the head ?
Mybe they have more of a problem than we do ? At leased all fibro sufferers are dealing with their illness but this poor chappy will never get
better
P.P.S I've just realized that the last post was over a year ago never mind put it down to my age

Hi all

use your MP and get him to lobby parliament whilst you have your say

great site i used was www.writetothem.com

I have used mine and am awaiting a decision to be made 2nd try

my mp is great and has helped lots , expect some bull@*&% from their

parliamentry reply people , lets face it they employ these people to

stop people getting what rightfully theirs

another thought insist on a domicidle tribunal which i beleive you can

unless i am wrong ...but dla told me this can be put in place
