Hi,

Hope you still read your posts, but i have wrote to th BMA to ask why there is no uk related research into the possible causes of FMS, and the fact that people with a lot of influential power are planting the seed that our condition is in fact psychosomatic, and it would be nice to have some solid evidence over what exactly is its cause, as the UK are sceptical over other countries findings of this illness.

I will let you know if they answer what they have to say, i wont be holding my breath..... :dunno:

Take care :)

Prob best to check facts first - there is research ongoing in the UK. Not as much as in the US and far less than is done for illnesses like cancer, but it is there. We even have fMRI centres!

Education though, is a great thing to contact them about (as they can actually influence this). Definitely contact them to push for more education on Fibro and chronic pain management. :)

The OXford fMRI Centre have done some at least. There really isn't much into aetiology I agree.
