LDN Petition to No 10 Downing Street

Postby Chelsea » Thu Feb 05, 2009 3:27 pm

I don't know if any of you are aware of the drug Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) which a number of people are taking to help with Fibromyalgia with great success. There is a petition on the No 10 Downing Street website, please lend your support by signing this petition.

The summary of the petition is as follows but is worded in more
detail on the 10 Downing Street website:

"Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) is a drug that is credited with helping
those with HIV/AIDS, cancer, MS, Fibromyalgia, autoimmune diseases, and central nervous system disorders by boosting the immune system. As
well as being effective it is cheap, costing less than one pound a
day, and could save the NHS vast sums of money. We therefore urge the
Government to fund a trial of LDN on the NHS so that everyone in the
UK can reap the benefits of this drug."

Because of the lack of interest by the normal bodies who conduct
trials - the drug companies - without political intervention, we will
probably never see this drug trialled. Therefore, we need your help
in this matter to overcome the apathy which is standing in the way.

Many thanks for your support!
