Postby cat123 » Tue Mar 31, 2009 9:00 am

ok,everyone,i need to get your attention, heres a chance to do something to help ourselves.Fibromyalgia is soon up for debate in parliment,in the near future.go and see your mp,and ask him,to do something about getting research done in this country.Tell them we are miles behind, other countries in reseach. If you cant go and see your mp,at least write to them. The reason i write now is simple. The top dr in this country, who is head of reseach namely proffesser wessely, thinks its all in our minds.if you want to see more about him ,look on our forum page ,topic, prof, wessely thinks its all in our minds........cat123

Hi

An email/letter is always good for awareness

Its such a shame... (tries not to swear!)... that this professor is so dead against FM :!:
As a Public Moderator & Admin of this forum my opinions/views expressed are personal and are no more valid than those of other members and not necessarily those of UKFibromyalgia...Lisa

Making an appointment to see your MP will leave more of an impression on them. :)

Note, Prof Wessely is NOT the top doc in the Uk for Fibro, thankfully! But he's worrying all the same.

He does a lot of work in epidemiology, so he's done studies on how much Fibro costs the NHS if it' not diagnosed quickly.

I don't agree with a lot of what he says, but I don't like to demonise anyone - it's gives them too much status!
