There isn't usually inflammation associated with FM blueberry, so what your rheumy has put in the letter is right. Inflammation usually found with things like arthritis. As to whether saying there isn't any inflammation affecting your ESA appeal, I don't know I'm afraid :dunno: :dunno: Has there been any earlier mentions of you having inflammation due to FM :?: :?:

Hyperaesthesia is the medical name for the way FM-ers are really sensitive to things like pain, sounds smell etc

I've got to go for the medical in a couple of weeks so I'm hoping for someone who has at least heard of FM :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed:

I've blood tests that have shown raised markers for inflammation at times, these have been put down to having something like a virus/viral infection. It could be something like that which has shown up in the test :dunno: :dunno:

If your muscles go into spasm the area surrounding this inflammes...

I spoke to a neck specialist not long back about neck spasms cause i could hardly breathe and he said he could feel/see some inflammation, he checked the muscles and see they were in real bad spasm. Then explained whats happens when spasms occur.

Thanks for the explanation Lisa, that actually makes a lot of sense with various bits of me that spasm. We've often had questions asked about inflammation markers being raised and things, so being able to give a possible answer to it will be of great help

ooohh that explains loads, thanks Lisa, that might explain why the area round my muscles becomes red and a lump appears when I have a spasm
