Abbreviations

Postby TillyLou » Wed Oct 19, 2011 4:00 am

Hi I have been a member fair some time and love reading the posts but can someone please explain what the abbreviations are for e.g DS, DSS . With fibre fog I just can't work them out. Thanks again for all the excellent support the site provides x

I've split your post off and moved here as it wasn't in the best place for what you were asking.

The abbreviations used are instead of writing various phrases out each time. From what I can gather, they seem to be used on many other forums.

DS is used for Dear Son
DD " " " " " Dear Daughter
OH " " " " " Other Half
dx " " " " diagnosis
DH " " " " " Dear Husband.......................................................

I'll try to add more as I come across them.

When you've been on here for a while, you get so used to the abbreviations, it's very easy to forget that others may not be familiar with them

Any others you come across and don't know what they are, add them to here and meanings can be added to them

I wonder what OP stands for? I assume original poster or something like this, I see it a lot in other forums mostly in reference to the person who posted the threat (I never no how to spell it right, with a t or d?)
