Others in a similar position to you fliss seem to keep being paid way past the 13 week time limit as well as not having had their assessment as well.

You could always brave their phone system and see if you can find a huu-mon there who can give you an idea of what is happening :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

Sorry, not much help I'm afraid :facepalm: :facepalm:

hi Fliss

The contribution ESA is worked out as follows;

If you have worked every week and paid national insurance for the last two tax years (2009-2010 and 2010-2011) you will qualify. If you havent heard from them I would give them a ring, usually they have your claim sorted out within 2 to 3 weeks so it sounds like something has gone wrong.

You can also claim working tax credits if your hubby works full time and you only have his income. It might not be much but every little helps.

I'm on income ESA, my 13 weeks ends in 3 days. A week ago today ATOS rang and tried to organise an appointment. They then rang back on Friday and we booked the appointment for the end of this month. So you should hear fairly soon I expect.

It's my understanding that they keep paying you the assessment rate until the medical, there's a lot of delays with the medicals at the moment but that's their fault, not yours.

An organisation like CAB should be able to advise, or you could ring the DWP and confirm the money will be paid until you have haad the medical, and the outcome of that medical has been decided by a Decision Maker. Direct.gov.uk might have the answer too.

I can't imagine that there would be a massive difference between income and contribution ESA in that you would be paid over 13wks for one and not the other. But I could be wrong.

OOps, sorry.

Got my ex-jobcentre head on thisaft and totally misinterpreted your question.

Lydia is right, just wait for them to send you the appointment, they usually send a health questionnaire form first that you need to fill out. Your claim will not be changed in any way before you have had the ATOS assessment.

Bum, Bum, and thrice again Bum :girl_moon: :girl_moon: :girl_moon: :girl_moon: about the decision :facepalm: :facepalm: Appeal the decision if you feel up to it fliss, and see what local organisations are in your area that could help you with it (CAB, DIAL etc)

We'll be behind you all the way, pulling faces and :tongueout: :tongueout: :tongueout: until they realise what a daft decision they have made :cup1: :cup1: :cup1:

thanks,well my hubby is gonna drop me and my mum off in town 2moro,to give him a little break as hes feeling it at the moment due to damaging his foot so she offered a day of shoppin or shud i say window shopping in town whilst he does watever he likes,so i might pop into cab and jobcentre then,i hav phoned dla that im going to appeal so they r sendin me the form out,anyhow i dont think they hav much argument when they seem to reckon i can walk 50 metres when iv had to hav hubby buy me a wheelchair as im in agony when i walk and go dizzy and hot flushin all the time plus all the usual.got it before xmas but only used it for the first time yesterday when my mum took me to my grans but ended up gettin a lift back cos i was so tired and didnt want my mum to hav to push me home as its uphill.so i am in it for the long haul with the appeal,i dont even think they read the extra info i put in for the reconsideration as it stated i needed to now use a wheelchair lol yet still come back within 2 wks of me postin it off xxanyhow thanks for ur support x :crazy:

I think they must pull balls out of a hat with a number on them relating to excuses they are going to use for claims in the decline piles, then send out the letters with the daft reasons :facepalm: :facepalm: :facepalm:

:goodluck2: :goodluck2: Appeal wise, you know we'll be here, ready and waiting to :chicken-dance: :chicken-dance: :chicken-dance: when you get a more suitable answer :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed:
