Good Morning Fibro (Poem)

Postby zakibear » Wed Oct 10, 2012 9:36 am

Have started writing a poem about living with fibro,
This is what i have so far:

Good Morning Fibro

I wake up and say good morning world, what will today hold
I peel back the duvet and stretch my legs down to the floor

I find the strength to stand and try to greet the day
I shake, i ache but carry on
I had no idea i could be this way

A simple task becomes an ordeal, try as i might
Due to the fibro-fog, and not getting sleep at night
I aqsk the doctor 'please help'
So he treats me like im 'not right'

I could cope, i think, if others could only see
The mess, the wreck, the difference
that this has made of me.

A work in progress.

My poem is a reflection of what many of you brave hearts go through day in, day out. So, this is for all of you with love..........

Pain - my constant companion - following me in its many forms from one day to another.
Clinging on, not to be shaken free - the unwelcome guest I would never choose to spend my precious days with.
No choice...... you name it, I've tried it - one med/treatment after another.
My brain disregarding attempts to ease the body's sufferering : communication fault, wiring all wrong, firing all wrong!

Sleep...... now in the company of sleep I'm blissfully unaware.....zzzzzzz......good old land of nod.
My unwanted intruder sent packing, ...bags full of pain in tow, waiting in the shadows for dawn to break,
Waiting to pounce as I open my eyes to another day,
Waiting to test my body, mind and goes!...... Jules (Robin)
