I am on 10mgs, I couldn't tolerate the 20mgs but I had no side effects from lowering the dose. Years ago I was on Veneflexine and they were a nightmare to get off, then I realised cutting a bit more off each night worked x

I take 10mg of citalopram if have high dose sends me manic,a lot of GPS give anti depressants for pain as well as depression because they are ment to relax you.

I mentioned in another post.. I was initially prescribed citaloprm for depression in 2009. It sent me down hill very quickly to the point of attempting suicide. Every drug works differantly for ppl, but many of my friends taking this drug have all gone downhill very quickly as i did.
If aksed to start on it again i would refuse.. Never going near that med again !! I have also warned others not to take it.

I hope this drug works better for you than it did for me.
