Barium swallow

Postby animeemo3 » Fri Jun 28, 2013 6:08 pm

well, i had my barium swallow a few days ago (to see why food always gets stuck in my throat, no matter what) and it was a bit confusing to be honest. the liquid tests showed there was nothing visibly wrong, but when it was moved to a marshmallow-type substance, lo and behold, it was stuck! i said to the lady that was watching the xray screen "its there, its stuck" she said yes, i can see it, its still there. it was stuck there for five minutes until i had to get a glass of water to push it down because it was hurting. not sure what this means, but apparently i have to go back to my gp in a week, to discuss further? :S anybody else had/have this?

I am glad that something showed up so they believe you. Keep us informed on what GP has to say.
