Pregabalin for nerve pain?

Postby gibbo82 » Tue Jan 28, 2014 6:22 pm

Hi everyone, :)

Just wondering if some one could tell me how pregabalin is with nerve pain?

Went to see the specialist today and finally got a diagnosis of fibromyalgia.
Sending me for a chest & back X-ray along with a nerve test. Also starting physio to start a exercise plan. And he recommend that I start taking pregabalin and too talk to my gp about it.

As part as my fibro I suffer from costo which causes a lot of pain & nerve pain in my back, ribs & chest

Hey, I had pregablin for the same thing. It worked well, then my body got used to it even when upping the dose! If you have a sensitive stomach (as I do) mention it to your doctor when you ask about taking it so that they can give you something for your stomach such as omeprozole to make sure you don't get worsened stomach pains etc x

I take Pregabalin twice a day, I think it helps me with pain in the muscles more than anything, I also take paracetamol. I'm happy to stay on it.
