Hi Tony
Yeah I’m still around

been hanging around these boards now for over 10 years
I’m with you with the MRIs

they put me through 3 within 3 months

got problems with the ole discs in the lumbar spine slipping out into the spinal canal

I found taking a muscle relaxant before hand helped a little plus I had to have a family member stand by the machine or i wasnt going in! And that was just my back side
I had a rheumatologist convinced I also had AS few years back. I tested positive for the physical examination and have a family member with it and the consultant even mentioned I had AS in his reports!

so whilst waiting on a full body MRI ( which I was very lucky to have in London as needed an open MRI due to claustrophobia) and waiting on seeing consultant after as follow up ( they forgot about me and I waited nearly a year!) I even joined the AS association!
So after all this time waiting he dismissed AS just as quick as a click of the finger

as the inflammation he thought was significant to the diagnoses actually turned out to be a severely diseased inflamed gallbladder which I put down to fibro pains until things came to a head and needed an operation to remove it.
I have found tho Over the years that quiet a lot of fibros later on in life were actually misdiagnosed with their real illness only rearing it’s ugly head many years down the line.
I hope the MRI goes ok and they check you thoroughly and nothing else is going on
